DESCRIPTION:Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023\n\nMany entities\, in the private and public sector as well as the State\, collect and use personal data for delivering goods\, services\, benefits and various other purposes. Personal data enables these entities to uniquely customise their outreach and offerings to individuals based on understanding individual preferences and habits\, trends\, spending power\, and targeted advertising.\n\n\nPersonal data also aids the State in law enforcement\, healthcare\, education\, civic services\, and generally better governance. However\, unchecked processing can have adverse implications for the rights of individuals and needs to be subject to checks and balances.
